India is indeed a great and diverse country. What doesn’t happen in any corner of the world happens in India. I am just not saying this but today I have example of how unique our country is. So, let me begin. We all travel on road with two wheeler or four wheeler. And often we have to give challan when either we didn’t wore seat belt, helmet or broke a rule. Right?
But have you ever been fined for not wearing a helmet while riding a four wheeler or vice versa? This recently happened in Kerela. The rider who was in four wheeler was challaned by the Kerala Traffic Police for not wearing a helmet. Yes, you read it right.
The incident happened with Gopa Kumar on 30 April when along with his family he was Traveling in his car. Have a read below of his post:
കേരളാപോലീസിന്റെ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ഒരു പൊൻതൂവൽ കുടി ശാസ്താംകോട്ട ചവറ റൂട്ടിൽ കൊചാഞ്ഞിലിമൂടിന് കിഴക്കുവശം KL-61-D-8000 NEXON…
The translation of the post reads that Mr Kumar along with his family was travelling on Shasthankota Chavara route when the traffic police stopped him, apparently for not wearing a helmet. As per the whole scene it can be imagined that Kerala Traffic Police must have been conducting a routine check at the post. The police might have stopped other vehicles as well and in mix up it can happen that challan got mixed up.

Gopa Kumar came to know that the challan was for not wearing a helmet only after he had already paid it and was thereby released by the police. Now that we can imagine that another rider might have got a challan for not wearing a seat belt and he might be in same dilemma as well. Thus, we should not make a big deal.out of the whole incident as mistake can happen with anyone. We can only say that for now traffic police remain careful. However, the reality behind the whole story is still unknown.
