On Sunday, team India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal penned an emotional post for his parents who have recently tested positive for Covid-19.The news was shared by his wife Dhanashree Verma on Instagram. While his father has been admitted and has severe symptoms, his mother has been home quarantined.
She wrote that, “My parents-in-law have tested positive with severe symptoms. My father-in-law is admitted and my mother-in-law is being treated at home… Please stay at home and take proper care of your family.
Chahal on Saturday posted a family picture on Instagram a nd captioned it saying, “Keep the real ones close”.
Chahal was last seen in his game for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021 Indian Premier League which later got suspended due to the second wave. RCB played very well this year and had high chances of winning the tournament. Chahal will not be a part of Indian Test squad in UK next month for World Test championship against New Zealand. He will join the team in Sri Lanka tour in July.
