Virat Kohli set a significant record when he came out to play against Sri Lanka in Mohali. This is his 100th test match, and he joins a select group of cricketers with this achievement. Kohli was honored by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) before the start of the match. Anushka Sharma, his wife, and actor-producer were also present.

The felicitation ceremony’s photos have surfaced on the internet. As Virat is honored, Anushka and his teammates can be seen cheering him on. Only 71 players have played 100 or more test matches so far, and Kohli is only the 12th Indian to do so.

This is one of Kohli’s most significant achievements, so it’s only fitting that he’ll be accompanied by his lady love. They have a lot of love and respect for each other, as evidenced by their public appearances, interviews, and social media posts.

Kohli referred to his wife Anushka as his “pillar of strength” and spoke about her impact on his life on the eve of the match. He thanked her for helping him grow as a person and changing him “for all the right reasons.”

“Anushka (Sharma) has had a tremendous impact on my life. Not only that, but because your game is a part of your life, the influence in your life eventually filters down to your game as well. For all the right reasons, I’ve transformed into a completely different person. I’ve progressed in the right direction. Kohli said in an interview shared on BCCI’s social media accounts, “I am very, very grateful to God to have a life partner like her, and she’s been an absolute pillar of strength for me.”

“I know people say this a lot,” he continued, “but I truly understood the meaning of it when Anushka came into my life and I started evolving.” And the other way around. We’ve both aided each other in our development. If it hadn’t been for her in my life, I wouldn’t have been able to carry on with such calm, passion, and zeal.”
